A few years ago I went on a cruise with my family. One of the last stops was Conzumel, Mexico. I was really excited to go because it was my first time there and I’m half Mexican at heart. I’ll explain that in a later post.
When we got there the excursion that we did was to travel to ruins of course. I don’t think I’ve ever been in that type of heat in my life. Usually when I work out I sweat a little but never that you can really tell through my shirt. Walking through the ruins in Mexico was the first time my shirt was drenched in sweat. I was so surprised at how wet my shirt was.
That day does not come close to how much I sweat during bikram. Good Lord did I sweat! I felt sweat on my forehead and thinking “omg amd I sweating already?!? I’ve only been in this room for 2 minutes!!!!!” I couldn’t even old certain positions because I was so slippery. Although I think yoga is a great form of fitness, Bikram was too much for me.
I recently bought Body by Bethany becasue my coworker recommended it. Her yoga DVD was awesome. I was shaking about 20 minutes into it. Yoga makes you have to sustain your own body weight which is what I love about it. Weights are great but it can get boring. Long story short, my arms are totally sore from just a 40 minute workout without any weights.
How great is that?!?! I’m obsessed now.
